+Draskancat
Hi, I live about 5 hours away from Gilby, ND, in Canada. I am thinking of taking a geo trip there, but not sure how much time I should give myself. Can anyone give me a clue ...1 day, 2 days? I would also do some caching in Grand Forks, where I will be staying. Quote Link to comment
Rock Chalk
We only had a day when we visited last fall, and while we cached like crazy from dawn to dusk, we didn't get to everything we wanted to. I wish I would've had at least one more day. There is a Facebook group for the Gilby caches here. Most people in that group suggest 2-3 days. Quote Link to comment
+-allenite-
I cached there a couple of times in 2021 (May and August). We (three of us) went out for about 5-6 hours a day for the Gilby leg and were able to knock them out in about just over two days. I returned later that summer, spending about a day and a half to grab some more stuff in Grand Forks and able to clear out the series and some other highly favorites caches. There is also a GeoTrail in Pembina & Walsh counties, just to the north, that have some amazing caches (same designer) that I would recommend as well. That took us a full day to work through those.
