+steadheads
We will be caching in central AZ in Feb and Im interested in anyones favorites in Prescott-Jerome-Sedona-Flagstaff-Payson-Phoenix areas. We're good hikers and will have a basic rental car. Thanks-steadheads Quote Link to comment
+Team Lightfoot
My favorite Flagstaff are caches are not ones i'd tackle in the winter with a rental car. Here's one I placed recently that shouldn't be a problem even if we have snow on the ground when you're here, yet still gives you a nice hike in the woods. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=50649 P.S. Pray for snow for us... lots of it. or we'll be having another cachless summer in central/Northern AZ with closed forests. Quote Link to comment
+TEAM WILLYS
Linclon has one by Watson lake that is a nice hike around the backside of the lake on the peavine trail. It has directions on the cache page on how to get to trail head. Quote Link to comment
+azmark
The West Fork of the Oak Creek hike is one of the most beautiful parts of AZ that I have seen. And due to the sheer canyon walls it makes this cache a tough find. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=7322 Again maybe not the toughest hike but a nice one, and beautiful vistas. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=452 Or for a tough hike and great views, try my Hundred Dollar Cache. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=2120 Feel free to email me for any other info. +Lightning1996
There are several good caches around the Prescott area. If you like the mountains, but not too far from town, try "Spruce Wild Goose Chase" "Highland View" "Barnes and Noble It Ain't" "All That Glitters...Isn't". (Those are some of my caches). Also "Prieta View" "Cow Patty Peak" "Two of Seven"...just about any in the Prescott area are good. It's a bit chilly and snow is expected later in the week. In town, there are some excellent caches to amuse as well. Lightning Prescott Quote Link to comment
