+niraD
I just sent email to an event organizer. I noticed an encoding error in the "E-Mail Sent" confirmation page that was displayed after I submitted the email form. Quote I just noticed a possible typo in the GIFF event description: "[excerpt]" [explanation of error in excerpt] Thanks for hosting the event I'm looking forward to it. Notice that rather than being displayed properly: the double-quote character " has been encoded as " , and the apostrophe character ' has been encoded as ' . +cerberus1
When I've sent email to a few forums members, I've asked what it looks like there, and all said it reads as-typed. Been that way for months now. Thought someone mentioned it before. I just assume it's okay on their end. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Yeah, it looked normal to the recipient, and his reply included a quoted copy of my message, which also looked normal. It looks like the confirmation page encodes the ampersand an extra time, so that " becomes " and displays as " rather than " Quote Link to comment
