Encoding Error in "E-Mail Sent" Confirmation Page

I just sent email to an event organizer. I noticed an encoding error in the "E-Mail Sent" confirmation page that was displayed after I submitted the email form.

I just noticed a possible typo in the GIFF event description:

"[excerpt]"

[explanation of error in excerpt]

Thanks for hosting the event I'm looking forward to it.

Notice that rather than being displayed properly:

the double-quote character " has been encoded as " , and

the apostrophe character ' has been encoded as ' .

Yeah, it looked normal to the recipient, and his reply included a quoted copy of my message, which also looked normal. It looks like the confirmation page encodes the ampersand an extra time, so that

" becomes " and displays as

" rather than "
