wilpenusa
My gps went haywire about two hours ago. The satilite screens showed no satilites in the overhead sky and the map screen shows I'm in yukon territory. I'm wondering if it is caused by a solar electrical event. Anybody else? rneberlejr
I would like to know too. I was searching and found my 1st cache of the day yesterday morning then all of a sudden I lost all sat. signals. I still haven't got them but a friend said he herd something about gps sats being messed up Possibly due to large solar flares. Has anyone else herd anything. I am new to geocaching and thought I might have to return my gps. Please let me know, thanks.richard_eberlejr@yahoo.com Quote Link to comment
+Wacka
Turned mine on at 2 PM PST today. After 10 minutes, no locks on satellites. There weren't any showing from 45 degrees to overhead. Turned off and back on and then it worked correctly. Quote Link to comment
wilpenusa
Mine came back after about four hours of no satilites. I did see where we had another solar flare yesterday. Quote Link to comment
+TV-dude
So far, I haven't had any problems with my GPS, but haven't tried to use in in thelast two weeks. I know a few folks that have been hit with the solar flare problems. And we are in the loop for another week of them. So hang in there. Quote Link to comment
