[Request] Trackable visit/drop option on cache log

One of the greatest disparities between the website user experience and the App user experience is the way trackables are handled. On the website, when I create a cache log, I have the option to select trackables in my possession and either drop them in the cache or have them visit the cache. It's convenient and efficient.

 

I would like to see that same convenience come to the Apps instead of having to visit each trackable and create a visit or drop log for each cache I find.

I am surprised this doesn't have more upvotes, but I've added mine. Has been discussed a few times, it's a very annoying part of using trackables currently. I have to save every cache log as a draft and submit it from the website so I can do this. Sure, you can use something like Cachly, but TBH I prefer many aspects of the official app, except a couple minor complaints.

 

Additionally when logging trackables from the app manually (1-by-1, per cache), you have to scroll over to the cache location to log it, there is no recent list or ability to log multiple trackables to one cache (or multiple caches for one trackable. So if you have multiple trackables and want to log the trackable visits once back home, it's quite tedious to constantly drag over to the possibly far away cache location, pick the right icon, log it.

 

There is a note in a couple of threads that at some point with either a third party of the official app (or maybe both) you could "auto" log visits and people would do this with 10s or 100s of trackables. I'd be happy with having to click "Visit" on each trackable, every time, as a way of adding friction to the process. Or to have to turn it on with an advanced toggle box rather than have it be always there for newbies. But it's a shame to not be able to just finish my log with the app currently.

 

Given that most trackables want to travel far and wide, and the distance is counted, this ability to easy "visit"/drip trackables seems like a key feature, not just picking up and dropping.

Trackables are an integral part of geocaching, so it's rather annoying that they're such a faff in the GC app. In general I prefer the official app to any of the others available, and logging trackables could do with being a great deal more straightforward.
