Chiroptera lover Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Hi all, I received notifications today that two geocachers logged my geocoin yesterday. The problem with that is that the geocoin has been sitting in my spare bedroom for years, all but forgotten. Should I attempt to rectify this in some way or just let it slide? Quote
+on4bam Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Delete the logs, probably your coin's tracking number made it to a list. You will see more fake logs as these lists propagate through the internet. If the coin is just "sitting there" you can also "lock" it so it can't be logged anymore. 1 Quote
Chiroptera lover Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Ah, thank you. I thought maybe they'd found a coin with a similar number and made a mistake. Having the number on a list didn't occur to me. The coin is now locked. 2 Quote
+JoenGPS Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 A lot of that has been going on over the last few years. I've had about 30 coins logged mostly from Europe. Delete and lock. Quote
