Transferring ownership of a geocache

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to transfer ownership of a geocache to another user?
We just don't get the time anymore to perform maintenance and another local user has twice replaced the unique container of one of ours.
We would like to gift ownership to this user who is happy to adopt it but can't seem to find a way to do it.

Hello,

For cache transfers, use the do-it-yourself adoption tool found at http://www.geocaching.com/adopt -- the existing owner will need to go there first, enter the GC Code and the name of the transferee, and then a message is sent to alert the new owner to go to the same page and accept the transfer.  No involvement by Geocaching.com or a volunteer cache reviewer is needed.

I have adopted several cahes and I always leave the original owner's name and add adopted by Captain Nemo to it.
