My sisters and I are looking for a place to take a Geocaching Trip and wondered were a good place to go is?

I've heard PEI (Prince Edward Island, Canada) is a great place to geocache, but that's all the way across the continent for you.

Are you looking strictly for numbers or for quality? You could work on the ET Highway, the largest power trail in North America (and probably in the world), but that might be too tedious.

Depends what your goal is.  As TriciaG pointed out, just for tedious racking up the numbers, there's few places to burn through some days of picking up small film canisters than the ET Hwy.

 

I'd probably start with some of projectgc's statistic tools, like this one for Favorite Points:

Not surprisingly, WVTim tops the list with his memorable "gadget caches".  Lots of other familiar names top that list, along with a well known local in our general area, TerryDad2, who is a prolific Earthcache developer.

You could also consider a GeoTour, or a reward trail. Check out this forum post for their locations. 

I've done 6 GeoTours, and they were all really well done. The advantage is that these caches are usually well maintained.

On the topic of GeoTours, the Rainier100 GeoTour is over, but the caches were well done and about 95 of them are still active. I thought it was a really cool way to explore the area around Mount Rainier and learn some of the history of the region.
