peem
I've been housebound for the last couple of days and will be for the next two or three also. So here I am playing around with my gps (Oregon 700) and decided to try out 'Lists'. Yes I know I should be au fait with them but I'm not. Anyway I picked a series of caches and made my list and sent it to my gps. All went well and when I'm able I'll be off. The only slight thing is, they are listed by GC number and not by name. So.... Is this usual or did I miss out a step which downloads them by name? Many thanks. Quote Link to comment
on4bam
If menus on the 700 are similar to the 600 go to settings > Geocaching and tap geocaching lists > by names. Your will be set to "by codes". Quote Link to comment
peem
Thanks for the swift reply. It must be slightly different from the 600 (?). I go to 'settings'>Geocaching. There is no 'Lists' as such but there is 'Geocache style'. In there, under the title 'List title by full name or GC code, 'show names' is is the one highlighted. Quote Link to comment

peem
I'm sorry...which button. This is a touchscreen unit. That said, if I'm following you correctly (every chance I am not) I touched the screen to change the option to 'GC code' then changed it back again. Same result ie. GC codes not names. Apologies if I'm missing the point. I'm being carted off to the docs now but I will be back soon. Quote Link to comment

peem
Oh thanks for that, nice to get some friendly clarification . Like I already said, I touched that screeny buttony thing and it has made no difference Quote Link to comment
