Travel Bug Notifications

If they are your travel bugs they will come automatically. If you also have coins or travel bugs that belong to other cachers but have them on a watch list you will also get a notification.

Edit to add. Notofications will come when it is dropped off in a Cache, not when it just visits a Cache.

For some reason we do not get any notifications when our travel bugs get dropped or picked up.We have to check on them at geocaching.com

That's weird, it's an auto thing, so you'd get notifications similar to a cache found.  Has your email changed?

 - Sure the ones you're not getting aren't simply the  "took it to" logs, the Visit option ?

We have one that we activated and took it to a event where we handed it a cacher visiting here from Finland where it has moved from cache to cache. We received emails every time it moved. It was over there for more then a year until a cacher picked it up from a cache and took it to California and placed it in a cache there. It is still moving from cache but we have not received notification about it's movement for about 4 months now. The same with all our trackables, no notifications . I have to go to the web site to check on them.

Not sure how you missed it ... but has your email changed?  Trackable movement , like owning caches, is an auto log.

When folks say they aren't getting notifications, it's often because they had an issue on their end.

Some didn't realize that the "Visit" log doesn't give you notifications, you have to look on the site (the trackable's page).
