+kunarion
I made a “Discover” log on a Trackable, and there was a new notice in the upper right corner of the Trackable's page, “Discovered It!” That part is okay. Then I deleted the log, yet although it looks like the log was properly archived and not publicly listed anymore, the “Discovered It!” notice remained. That was not what I'd expect when I delete the log. Is it supposed to do that? But I deleted it by mistake anyway, so I have since logged it again. I took a screen shot showing the log was gone at the time with the “Discovered It!” still in view. I refreshed the browser, too, same thing. Edited June 9, 2017 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
It's possible that it just takes a while for that to disappear. I've seen a number of new features across the site that have a significant delay, like trackables you move to your collection still showing in your inventory on the new logging page for a few hours. If anyone's willing to try it, try deleting all your discover logs on a trackable and see if the message eventually disappears after a period of time. Quote Link to comment
+TriciaG
Wasn't there something about the mileage not updating if a log was deleted, until a new log was made? Or was that on caches? I wonder if it's a similar behaviour. Quote Link to comment

I was trying to delete an image and realized I'd deleted the whole log, so I went on to finish other logs on other TBs, then came back and re-logged this one. It was maybe 15 minutes later. So if it is supposed to go away, yeah, it simply may take longer than that. Edited June 9, 2017 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

I wonder if it's a similar behaviour. The Trackable "Actions" stay regardless of whether the log itself is deleted. "Drop" it in a cache (for example), and you can't "un-drop" it with a log deletion. Mileage or whatever would get pretty messed up if it wasn't like that. The "Discovered It" notice is new. Maybe the system has always treated Discover logs as actions - Delete it and it still counts as a Discovery, even though the log affects no Inventory nor mileage and once deleted it's not shown in a public log or list. It only became an issue when that "Discovered It" flag became a feature. But you can create new logs to "fix" a mis-logged "Drop", for example. How do you correct a mis-logged "Discovery"? Or as mentioned, maybe it goes away after a while. I'm not sure which it is. Edited June 9, 2017 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
