+graboots Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 When the new Geocaching app was downloaded it came in kilometres and I would like miles, it was no problem changing the old one at all, but I can't seem to find a way to alter this one to miles. If somebody could give an explanation on how to do this I would be grateful. Quote
+simplysup Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Android? If so, the docs say that distance units are taken from the phone's locale settings. In the UK this is kilometers (goodness knows why). The only way to change it, AFAIK, is to change the phone's locale to a locale that uses miles, like the US - which would of course cause all sorts of other complications. Nigel Quote

Nigel Thanks for that Nigel, I have now set the phone(Android) to the USA language setting and now were in miles. I've put some english words in which have not come up with American spelling so looks we're okay. So there are now three more happy cachers with there phones. Graham Quote
