+J&J Team Yukon
I have an older brother that likes to geocache but has some memory problems using the GPS on his phone. Any suggestions on an easy GPS that he might be able to use that wouldn't be to complicated for him? Thanks Quote Link to comment
alandb
That is a tough one as most people find the user interface on a smartphone app to be more intuitive than the dedicated GPS device. At least that has been my observation ... I am sure others will disagree Edited December 12, 2016 by alandb Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
From a usability standpoint, the Garmin Oregon series will likely be the easiest for anyone used to using a cell phone. But... the hardest thing for new users of any GPS to overcome is how to load geocaches on the device in the first place. The new Oregon 700s are a step in the direction of alleviating this problem, but the process of direct download for bulk information is still more convoluted than using a cell phone directly. If he can create a Pocket Query, run it, download it, and install the GPX files to an external drive (the GPS), then an Oregon 600 or 700 ought to do just fine. Quote Link to comment
