I was gifted a geocoin. Is there anyway to find out the age of it? I activated it thinking that would work but that didn’t tell me anything.

I am having the same issues as the ones posted above. I have contacted Groundspeak and have received the same answer back as the others. I have contacted my internet provider and also contacted my carrier AT&T which I spent nearly an hour on the phone with. The one I was talking to even went higher up the food chain to no advail. They said the only way they could really tell why i am not receiving my text notifications would be to follow a text from start to finish but I don’t have a clue how to give them an origin for a text that I am no longer getting. It seems like they need to talk to someone at Groundspeak to follow the transaction from start to finish. If you will furnish me that number I would be glad to contact AT&T and give it to them.

my first puzzle cache and i cloned a checker but did not link it to my new cache. I have deleted the checker now but when i try to reclone the checker i get an error message that i am already linked to the cloned checker so it does not let me add it to my cache.

This has probably been asked and answered but can't find it. When will Cachly add the ability to messaging like the geocaching ap. That's the only reason I keep that ap. Cachly is hands down far superior than the geocaching ap. Also a little trivial question, how about an alert when getting close to the cache? Thanks

Seems most are of the opinion to not log a find if you put a replacement container out. We replaced with the exact same container and same location on the same type host. Feeling guilty for doing the two we did and the only reason was to keep a fun series going for other cachers to enjoy at a lake. Thanks for the imput.

What is your thoughts on when replacing a cachethat hasn't been found in years and CO nor longer caches. Is it ok to log a find when you do? Not trying to be petty but my time to fixing a replacement and putting it back out for a series to continue. Thoughts please, I have heard both.

We have several small, I think bright flashlights for night caching, going into tunnels, or any pitch black, etc. Hubbs thinks we need brighter. What kind and brand do you guys use? His birthday is coming up so this would work. Thanks, JoAnn

for us, the new app is not user friendly at all. Hubs still uses the old paid app until its gone. I use Cachly. I wish they would have added the improvements to the old app. Cachley is good, Groundspeak needs to listen to the the people!

I have an older brother that likes to geocache but has some memory problems using the GPS on his phone. Any suggestions on an easy GPS that he might be able to use that wouldn't be to complicated for him? Thanks

Can you get alerts on two different iPhones? I know there is someplace to add email address on the geocaching.com site because I have mine on there. Hubbs is feeling left out. Help please!

I also am very frustrated with geocachers taking TB's and not logging them out of cache. I cringe every time I see a log where a brand new cacher has taken a traveler . On the message part when you log into cache I always put, if you take please log out and move TB to another cache. We have had so many come up missing and if they make it to a foreign country, they never make it home. I always put dupe tags out for missing TBs and never put a coin out.

Hummmmm, that thing is high dollar! May have to do some looking around on Amazon for something.

We have been caching for 8 years and what we need or want to take with with has evolved. I would like an easy to get into backpack with several different pocketed to organize our cache stuff. What are some bags you all suggest? Thanks, JoAnn

If you save caches to off line app why do you need to buy data plan? Just wondering

Thanks for the step by step instructions for loading the map tiles. Hubbs has always done the GPS so will leave that up to him. We use our phones more and more now. The PQ on phones my be the easiest way to go. I feel like I have to find a few caches at each stop to help with caching addiction!?

Can not find an answer to this maybe someone on here can help. We are taking a Caribbean Cruise in a few weeks and want to do some caching in different ports. Question, can we use the app on iPhone locating caches without getting charged? Can we make a quary and use without being charged a roaming charge? Or just rely on our Garmin GPS?

For some reason pocket queries won't download to our IPhone. Have not had any problems in past. Have had this problem since we got new iphone 6. Is there something we are not doing on phone?

One thing i have done for several lost or stolen TBs is, I make a dupe tag and put them right back out. It is so frustrating for TBs to always come up missing. Got this idea from another cacher that is using dupe tags.

Have had no problems loading caches on my Garmin 60csx up until a few days ago. Have done everything they said to do, updated communicator,and windows media player 11. Still will not work. What has changed? What else can I do? Help

This is very ironic because we put some TBs out for our little G-sons and they love following them. One came up missing so i contacted the last person that had it. This is what I got back from him. Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you. I don't show the TB in my inventory. I remember dropping it in a cache but I did not put it in the cache it shows it is in. I usually use my phone to log any caches that I drop a TB in. I only drop a TB in one cache at a time do I doubt I dropped it in the one it said I did. I have looked for it in my home and car and cannot find it. I'll have to go through my caches to see if I can remember where I left it. This is way TBs go missing!
