triggerfish Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Hi, Some time ago, I noticed that the finds count on the site top right, started to drift from the number of cache in the my finds pocket query. By now my profile says 1063 finds, but the myfinds pocket query contains only 1053 caches. As far as I know, my personal offline count, matches the 1053. Where are the 10 extra comming from? Best regards, triggerfish (Peter) Quote
pppingme Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Most likely duplicate find/attended logs on the same cache. The myfinds PQ will only list a cache once, doesn't matter if you have one find, or 9 finds on a particular cache, it will, however, have all of your logs. Do you use gsak by any chance? It should be easy to find the issue if you do. Quote
pppingme Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Oh, wait, I see you have ten "lab caches", I do not believe those are included in the my finds PQ but do count toward your total. Quote
triggerfish Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 Hi Again, Just after asking, I seem to have found the ten. They are lab caches. Is there a way to leave them out of the total count? Or change the site to say 1053/10 Finds or something like that? Best regards, TriggerFish (Peter) Quote
triggerfish Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 Thanks PF, I figured that while you were typing Any way to make that more clear? Or leave them out of the total count? Best regards, TriggerFish (Peter) Quote
redsox_mark Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 You can't stop the lab caches showing in your Geocaching.com statistics. I tackle the problem from the other direction. I use GSAK as my local database and for stats, and I've added the lab caches to my local database. I refresh my database with "myfinds", but that doesn't overwrite the lab caches. Quote
noncentric Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 If you don't want to have Lab Caches included in your total count, then you can delete your lab cache finds. Then they will not show in the total. If you use Project-GC, you'll see that the detailed counts are noted there: triggerfish has 1053 finds on 1053 unique geocaches, plus 10 lab caches, a total of 1063 finds Quote
