Delete Messages in new App

I have been trying to get used to the new app and I'm not impressed but I don't have a choice. So, how do I delete messages in the new app? There is a message lingering that I can't get rid of even tho I have read it and have deleted it on the website. My little envelope has a (1) attached to it and it is driving me insane. ?

1. - Why don't you not have a choice? If I had no choice but the new app, I'd probably quit caching!

2. - Folks will probably want to know what the app is running on in order to answer.

There are other apps you may wish to try. I'm not an iphone user but they were talking about Cachely on Podcacher the other week, sounds like a likely alternative.

At this time, it is not possible to hide a conversation or block geocachers from the Message Center in the app. You can do so from the Message Center on Geocaching.com. Please note that if you hide a conversation or block another player on the web, those messages will still appear in the mobile app but you will not receive any further messages if another player has been blocked.

I want to delete a message. How do I do that?

We do not currently allow players to permanently delete a message.

 

You can, however, "Hide Conversation" which will cause the message thread to disappear until the next time you start a conversation with that player.
