+Justin Of Terrytown
Is there a Geocaching flyer that I can hang up at coffee shops or give to friends? I know in the Southeast Louisiana, some of the coffee shops have bulletin boards that you can hang up flyers. I would enjoy being able to hang up a Geocaching flyer to help promote Geocaching. +cerberus1
All the muggle info materials I had at one time are now on lost domain sites. - Could be they're now on facetweet, but I sure wouldn't know. If you hit social sites, some cache groups should know. I personally think this hobby is getting too popular/overly promoted now. Seen so many come n go, figure once the numbers craze wears of, eventually it'll come back to some sorta normalcy. In the meantime, I intend to outlive 'em. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
I've used the Geocaching Brochures provided by Groundspeak, but only as additional information for people who attended an in-person geocaching class that I presented. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Didn't really think about it, but now that gpsmaze and geocacherU's very helpful info is no longer there, really shoulda loaded it (do have the logs though). Even this site's gone to videos, and "geocaching brochures" isn't really as helpful as that simple fold-up that we've had for years. Outdated maybe? Be nice if someone saved it... Noticed that a few are selling "muggle cards" online. Quote Link to comment

I think putting flyers in general public will also invite and encourage the muggles and those with ill intent to find the caches and loot and pilage. That is why we use stealthy procedures to find caches in public. I think word of mouth and invites have a better vetting process. Quote Link to comment

Personally, i agree with you on it becoming too popular. Wouldn't be bad if the emphasis wasn't so much on find count. Geocaching is not the same as it was 10 years ago and because of this, we see very few nice caches come out these days. Quote Link to comment
