+rhendy
Well the topic says it all. Much of the information I provide the user in my descriptions is in the form of HTML code. Little gifs, pictures, things that just need a better font to describe, you know. Sorry. Text is all I get. All of my "Descriptions" will need to be re-written and they will be much less useful when they are. Quote Link to comment

All of my "Descriptions" will need to be re-written and they will be much less useful when they are. And text is all that a cacher with a GPS gets to see. Keep that in mind when you are trying to provide information. The onus is on you to provide the information; it's not up to the reader to search for information they are not capable of seeing on their device. Quote Link to comment
+SpaceManDan
There is a button/tab at the top of the description page, after clicking the "Read More" button, that a user can switch between "Text" and "Web" (HTML) display of the description. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
There is a button/tab at the top of the description page, after clicking the "Read More" button, that a user can switch between "Text" and "Web" (HTML) display of the description. I noticed that yesterday, and I was just playing around with it more today. Here are my findings: It defaults to "Text" rather than "Web", which doesn't make sense. Why default to the view that's missing all the formatting and images (some of which may be important)? In "Text" view, any HTML is silently stripped out. Unless you switch to "Web" view, you have no idea if you're missing anything (see above about missing important information). The formatting in "Web" view is poorly executed, including images being displayed too large and the need to scroll sideways to see some text (ie. the content isn't being properly resized to the viewport). Further, you can't even zoom out to make it fit; it just snaps back to the default when you let go. I also noticed some text being auto-hyperlinked in "Web" view, including some (but not all) dates with links that don't actually do anything. Like most of the app, this part seems like it was rushed out before the developers were finished working on it. Quote Link to comment
