Calculate bearing and projection from two waypoints

The cache I'm working on has two waypoints. I entered those two sets of coordinates into a App (GCC) program- DISTANCE AND BEARING. The results gave me: 1)Distance 2) Initial Bearing and 3) Final Bearing. That's as far as I got having no clue what the different bearings meant or what to do with them. (I'm assuming the Distance was between the two waypoints).

There is also a program in the app called PROJECTION which projects a point from a coordinate. Which of these bearing values would I use and would I also use the distance supplied by the previous calculation?

Thanks.

Look at the Distance and Bearing icon. Assuming that the first waypoint is the one on the left bottom of the icon:

1. The distance between the two waypoints (the red line between the two waypoints).

2. The bearing between the first and second waypoint (the left and small angle).

3. The bearing between the second and first waypoint (the right and wide angle).

So for projection you'll need 1 and 2 from the first to the second waypoint, or 1 and 3 from the second to the first waypoint.
