Search results displaying incorrectly

I logged this bug under another topic several days ago but it has not been acknowledged or fixed in the now released new search functionality.

 

The search results are not rendered correctly. If you search on London, then Add Filters, and put 'Challenges' in the 'Cache name contains' field the results show symbols replaced by numbers (decimal code). For example, 'I ♥ Multis Challenge' should be 'I ❤️ Multis Challenge'. There are many others e.g. 5⭐️ Challenges where the symbols have all been replaced by decimal code.

This displays fine for me, my Browser is Firefox 35.0.1 operating on Windows 7

 

do those titles with the special characters display correctly when you view them on the cache pages?

I should have perhaps said that this happens on my iPad, using Safari.

The heart symbols look correct to me on my iPhone using Safari and Chrome.

Can I send you you a photograph of the decimal code instead of symbols? It doesn't look as if I can upload photos from my iPad to the forum.

I don't think that will help; I know what you are seeing, as all browsers were displaying it that way initially. It has been fixed, but there is something about your setup that prevents them from displaying properly now. What version of iOS and Safari are you running?
