+briansnat
Note the PS on the latest log for this cache of mine. It's a virtual that is across the road from Tibbet's State Forest (which is a few miles east of Albany). I've e-mailed the writer asking for additional info. Does anybody else know something about this? A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away. -Barry Goldwater Quote Link to comment
+Ttepee
Wow Brian this sounds great I wonder where he's getting his info. I've emailed him too after not finding anything in a search of DEC pages. I'll be very interested to hear where this came from. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Quote Link to comment
The Artful Dodger
That's excellent news Brian! We'll have to organize a group backpacking trip there this summer and place a few around. I need to check up on Quote Link to comment
+jonboy
I've also looked through the DEC website , press releases and regs and I can't see anything addressing geocaching one way or the other. I would say that one the most ardent opponents of Geocaching is on disability, and up till now it has been dependent on the caprices of the individual Forest Ranger. I don't know who the poster is who calls himself ranger, but he doesn't sound to me like a DEC Forest Ranger. Quote Link to comment
+Planet
and asked him where he got his info before I e-mail Ranger Hess. I have had no response. Has anyone else heard back from him? Or Ranger Hess? Cache you later, Planet I feel much more like I do now than when I first got here. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
No response either. But I did see a post from him (or her) in the forums recently on a different subject. So the person is active. A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away. -Barry Goldwater Quote Link to comment
