JAR1284
I go to Allegany state park every year. I was wondering why caches haven't been placed there. There are tons of great places to hide caches. Is geocaching allowed in ASP? If it is I will be placing one there this summer. Quote Link to comment
+Dekaner
From the main site: If you place the cache on public lands you need to contact the managing agency to find out about their rules. You will be in violation of federal regulation by placing a cache in any area administered by the National Park Service (US). My understanding is that Allegany is a NY State Park, which -should- make it ok. Their contact information is: Allegany State Park 2373 ASP Route 1 Salamanca NY 14779-9756 Regional Office (716)354-9101 Red House Rental & Park Info (716)354-9121 Quaker Rental Office (716)354-2182 Park Police (716)354-9111 Reservations 1-800-456-CAMP Please let us know how you make out! - Dekaner (dekaner@outeractive.com) Quote Link to comment
