Rocoon
My apologies if this has been already answered. I didn't know what to search for. I am using the $9.99 Geocaching App (from Groundspeak) bought in the Google Store on my Samsung Galaxy 3 Android phone. Is there a way for me to set a waypoint before I start looking for a cache so it can assist me in getting back to the car? Thanks for your help! Quote Link to comment
+Maebius
I've been pointed here... but not sure about it first-hand. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=417 I only have the free Intro version of the app, which doesn't appear to like me adding waypoints Quote Link to comment
+niraD
It has been a while since I used Groundspeak's Geocaching app for Android, but I recall one of the things that annoyed me about it was the fact that every waypoint had to be associated with a cache. I could mark my parking coordinates, but that waypoint was a personal waypoint for a cache (probably the first cache I had searched for that trip). Then, when it was time to look for my parking coordinates, I had to bring up that cache to access the parking waypoint. If I had found that cache, then my normal settings did a very good job of hiding the cache from me. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
There are many free apps that will do that. The GC app is not a general GPS usage program. It is for hunting caches. For other things you need another app. Quote Link to comment
