Bill93 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Jerry Penry, a professional who frequently comes up with topics of interest, has published an article about USGS bench marks and the various datums they were on. He is building a list of codes stamped on USGS disks. He would welcome any additional codes or information relating to them. See his post at the professional surveyors forum for the links. Quote
Bill93 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) In that thread JS2170 (GC page) (NGS sheet) is discussed. Is anyone near enough Yolo County, CA to get a picture? Should be easy to find with good coordinates and a 1999 to-reach. Edited May 8, 2014 by Bill93 Quote
+billwallace Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Four hour drive for me but I've got some time off soon with no plans, maybe ... I used to spend a lot of time just west of there north of Lake Berryessa - nice country. Quote
foxtrot_xray Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Was just up that way last year. Got some stations found up there at Mt. Shasta, and then a little farther south at Yellowstone. (Yellowstone was easy find, more of a 'token' find. The ones I got up at Mt. Shasta were more enjoyable. ) Quote
