As with any garmin handheld the basemap is terrible however load a topo map, lots of free ones online, I am in uk and can recommend talkytoasters maps. Very easy to do. Battery life is an issue for some but it's a touchscreen so will be heavier on juice, just carry spare eneloops. Profile is a nice function allowing quick changes between car or walking setups and is customisable. Photos are geotagged and of course you have paperless caching. Also consider the 450 if you don't want the camera because topos are easily loaded and its a cheaper unit and not much difference between the two. Quote Link to comment
