+ThePeedles
Hello, Just wondering, if we have previously logged a DNF, then return and find it later - do we update the initial log or add a new one? Thanks, The Peedles. Quote Link to comment
jholly
I always add a new found it log. It preserves my history and logging order. Quote Link to comment
+Ambrosia
Cache logs are like a journal of what you have done. All logs - notes, finds, dnfs, (etc.) are your geocaching history. Post them and let them stand! Quote Link to comment
+GeoBain
I once DNF'd a cache 7 times before I was finally able to find the cache. Each DNF log journalized my ignorance and stupidity for all eternity. (or at least until the servers die) Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I agree with everyone else, create a new log for the find and leave the DNF. Another reason is that the cache owner win't get a notification of your find if you update the original log. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Yep. You DNF'd it last week, you Found it this week. Two different stories, two different logs! Let the DNF stand. Add your new Found It log. Quote Link to comment
+jellis
It's so rewarding to rid a DNF but yes I create a separate log. But also I am doing a 3 strikes rule. Unless the cache is suppose to be really good I ignore a cache after 3 DNFs. These are usually ones that over time get buried under debris or trash, or not maintained or too dangerous to continue.
