Grandma Maggie
It may be a coincidence. Since upgrading to premium membership, the map is very slow to respond to my touches if it responds at all. (Maybe the honeymoon is over :-) ) Moving east, west, north south, zoom in, zoom out are all slow. It takes a long time for caches to re-appear after changing the map. And, when I try to take a closer look at a cache from it's icon, the short description is difficult to get to open. I am using a motorola xoom (ancient by electronics standards.) What do you think? Is it just my imagination that it has changed? Quote Link to comment
TriciaG
I'm guessing imagination. You could try viewing the map without being logged in and see if that makes a difference. If it does, you might be on to something. Quote Link to comment
mcgreggor57
I upgraded a couple days ago and didn't notice any difference. The maps seem to be working same as before. Quote Link to comment
The A-Team
...when I try to take a closer look at a cache from it's icon, the short description is difficult to get to open. This makes me think you're using a geocaching app, not viewing the site in a browser. On the website, the short description loads at the same time as the rest of the page. If you are using an app, which one? Quote Link to comment
Chief301
I think the site is the same, it's your expectations that are higher once you start paying for it 😎 Quote Link to comment
Grandma Maggie
I have been accessing GC.com from a shortcut on my home page. I have c:geo loaded but I use that more on my phone. As an experiment, I accessed GC.com from the browser and logged out. It did seem to work better when I was logged out. I know I would like my logged in experience better if I could close that pane on the left of the map (search for caches, filter cache types...). Maybe I can and just haven't figured it out yet. I will keep working with it unless one of you has something else to suggest. It has only been a couple of days. Quote Link to comment
cheetahspots
Try turning your phone off and then back on again. Had to reboot in the field today, as the same thing happened to ours. Cleared right up. Edited April 5, 2014 by cheetahspots Quote Link to comment
Grandma Maggie
I have turned the tablet off and on a couple of times since the upgrade. The good news is that the little arrow that is supposed to close that pane on the left finally responded to my touch. Quote Link to comment
