+jellis Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I got an email saying I had a Log Deletion. I use to be able to view the log so I knew which cache and what the log said. Yes, I contacted the CO and he said he didn't remember deleting a log and it could have been his wife. No answer to that question. But why can't I see the log and from what cache it was deleted from? There should be a link to the deleted log in the email. Is there not? Quote
+jellis Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 yes and it was empty with a message saying You cannot read archived log entries. User logged something Quote

Logged in with right account? You should be able to see your own logs. I just tested this and didn't see any problem, except that the Log Deletion email is a bit confusing. It says, "Visit this listing at the below address:", but gives the link to the log, not the listing. Quote
+jellis Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Yes I was logged in and that message we still the same I will post pic when I get on the comite Quote
+Great Scott! Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Were you logged in? Logged in with right account? Do you or family members have other geocaching accounts that have email sent to your email account? Seems like the deleted log came from a GC account other than your jellis account. Quote
+Lil Devil Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 The log GLD5BJT6 was written by ABackwardCacher Quote
+NeverSummer Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 The log GLD5BJT6 was written by ABackwardCacher it could be that the log is (or included) a photo, and when photos are deleted it generates the "Log Deletion" email, but the photo can no longer be viewed with its log. But that would imply a bug exists...and we all know what that means... Quote
