CachingGrandpa
I have add this cache to cache list icon when I am viewing caches. but I click on it and nothing happens. Is there a way to create a list of caches that I am looking at? I would like the GC code and the name of the cache Then when I am out caching I can add my log to this list. I prefer logging caches on my computer to logging them on my phone. Most of the time I am using my hand held GPS and not my phone. Quote Link to comment
niraD
Does your handheld GPS receiver support field notes? Many (but not all) do. I usually use my smartphone for geocaching, and I still use field notes for almost all my logs. There's more info here: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=128 http://www.geocaching.com/my/fieldnotes.aspx Unfortunately, it seems like it may need updating. But the basic idea is to upload the field notes from your GPSr to the site (assuming your GPSr supports field notes), and then use the uploaded field notes to post your logs. Quote Link to comment
CachingGrandpa
I don't want to do field notes. I want to create a list of caches that I am going to find and then I want to print that list out. I thought I read once before that is what this cache list icon is suppose to do. I don't usually use field notes because I like to add more logs than what I want to type on my GPS or Phone. Quote Link to comment
cheech gang
Where exactly are you seeing the "add this cache to cache list icon" ? Quote Link to comment
niraD
FWIW, my field notes are shorthand memos to myself. I write real logs when I have access to a real keyboard, using the field notes just to remind myself of what happened. Quote Link to comment
CachingGrandpa
Cheechgang There is an icon left side of page underneath the cache name. When I hover over it with y mouse courser it say "add this cache to CacheList" Quote Link to comment
cheech gang
I'm just not seeing it, so I guess I can't add anything to this conversation. Perhaps you are using some sort of GreaseMonkey script or other add-on, or I am blind. Quote Link to comment
Walts Hunting
I don't see it either on IE or Chrome. It has to be some add on which probably broke on the last froggie update. A fairly common occurrence with adons. Also a google search of the site does not return anything. Edited December 14, 2013 by Walts Hunting Quote Link to comment
UMainah
It's a Chrome extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cachelist/amhhdbdhoghppijbjfdkiaconkmfbbpa Quote Link to comment
CachingGrandpa
Hi UMainah, I see the extension at the top of my browser page. But only once did it say load cache from previous browser. I did this and I think it started a list but now I can't add any more. How do I get this to work so I can make a list of each cache that I browse? Quote Link to comment
Walts Hunting
If you want to avoid the problem of extensions breaking with froggie updates you might want to use the bookmark action over on the right. Might be an extra step or so but will always worki. Plus bookmark lists can be downloaded as a pq. Quote Link to comment

I've never used CacheList, so I can't really help you out with your issues. CacheList is a third-party modification that you installed from the Chrome Web Store, not something that is provided by Groundspeak. You might be able to get better help if you contact the developer directly through the Feedback form on the listing page here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/support/amhhdbdhoghppijbjfdkiaconkmfbbpa?hl=en&gl=US#bug Quote Link to comment
