+DyverDown
A very quick "SEARCH" of the forum netted me " Posted 02 May 2013 - 05:55 AM The "mapsource" version is for installing on the computer (and then transfer to the gps) The img version can be copied in the Garmin folder of the gps or SD." Which did you download? +splashy
The dakota 10 is crippled because it lacks an µSD, therefore you have to limit the size of the map. You say " have transfered the file in to the garmin file " What does that actually mean?? In you case you should have a Garmin program called Basecamp and have the map visible in Basecamp, via another program called Mapinstall you select parts (tiles0 of the map and this program will compile the map and put in in the Gps. Once in the Gps you activate the map so you can see it. Edited June 22, 2013 by splashy Quote Link to comment
+splashy
It's not important what map, if the file is big it just won't fit. The Dakota 10 total free memory is 850Mb, today's maps tend to be large. Quote Link to comment
