We have just got a garmin dakota 10 and have downloaded the free map onto the computer, i have transfered the file in to the garmin file but it doesn't seem to be on the device, any help would be grateful

I have just done a pocket query and it has downloaded in adobe/acrobat reader and won't open, how do i alter this for when i want to transfer them to my gps. Thank you
