In order to place a photo in these forums, it must already be hosted online. You cannot load directly to these forums.

Sorry, you can't. You can only use a URL of an already-uploaded image. This forum doesn't allow you to upload images directly.

Oh yes you will! Upload all your photos to your Gallery here at Geocaching.com, then link to them. You may upload to your profile photo or to an unactivated cache page (or an activated one), or to a TB. Can't find a place to upload? Feel free to make a Note Log on any of my TBs and upload to there.

 

There's an extra step, to get the picture to actually show up here (you need its web address), so once you've uploaded it, let me know if you need more info.

I usually send mine to "tinypic" (one of the free picture upload websites), copy the onscreen URL, paste it here and use the "Insert Image" button. But you specified NOT using "a different site", so that's why I suggested the slightly more difficult way.

here ya go my first custom cache container i still need to soak it with silicone spray and it will all be hidden inside a camo'ed 2 gallon ziploc bag

my plan was to hide it outside a library which i had already gotten permission from the library director but it is 26 feet to close to the next cache so somewhere else it will go

No. You can upload photos directly to geocaching.com. Photos posted on the forums must already be online (linked).
