Zircon Zombies
Just resently we were out caching and I tried to send a cache to my wifes 450, no luck, always worked before , now it drops the signal ,, and this is both units doing the same thing. Have contacted Garmin and did a master reboot etc. still won't send a geocache. The odd thing is they will send waypoints and tracks. Has anybody else come across this issue ? ZZ Quote Link to comment

dartymoor
Might there be something "odd" about this specific cache? Unusual characters in the description etc. Quote Link to comment
Zircon Zombies
No, I have tried with different caches , also sofar I have found 3 other cachers with the same issue , all using the Oregon 450. I'm wondering if Geocache has done something to thier files, Garmin help line is no help , so far the "wireless" feature is no longer a feature . I'm surprised nobody else out there has had this issue..............ZZ Quote Link to comment
PokerLuck
First of all, make sure you have good batteries in both units. The batteries may be good enough to run the unit, but not good enough to make a wireless connection. Also, the GPS is supposed to save the transferred cache with the GC number as the filename, but that hasn't worked in a long time. It saves it with a filename like 1.gpx. This causes Basecamp to go nuts, and it might be interfering with transferring more files. Get rid of the odd filenames and see if that helps. Quote Link to comment

Zircon Zombies
I will give that a try , but again , the interesting thing about this issue is the 4 other Oregons doing the same thing. As I mentioned before I have been using this unit for 3or4 years now and its always worked fine wirelessly. One of the units is only 3 weeks old. cheers ZZ Quote Link to comment
kwcahart
I had exactly the same problem but the master reset did the trick, no more problems. Quote Link to comment
