+wilko160
So I have narrowed down to two I see available at the moment the dakota 20 and the gpsmap 60csx. Both appear to have the electric compass, altimeter and paperless caching. Has anyone experienced both? What's the receptions like under trees etc? Quote Link to comment

+Bear and Ragged
... paperless caching. 60 CSx - No Dakota 20 - Yes Ah, my bad. Thought i read somewhere it did. That's that then. With the use of GSAK and a macro, it's possible to get 'semi' paperless... (I still printed the cache page for multi's, just to make sure I had ALL the info needed! ) If you're after paperless without hassle, go for the Dakota 20! Quote Link to comment
alandb
Another good choice is the Oregon 450 refurb available directly from Garmin's eBay store for $199. Quote Link to comment
