+thp1962
I reset my explorist gc to factory settings, but now my stats, and my finds are not there. I have downloaded my finds from Geocaching.com, they show on vantagepoint but not my explorist gc. has anyone had this problem ? Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Never. Found caches would only be taking up space I could use for caches I have yet to find. If I want to look at my found caches, I just look at my profile page on GC.com, or perhaps in GSAK. Quote Link to comment
+ShaunEM
I dont have the GC anymore, but this one feature always annoyed me. No way I ever found.. other than loading all caches and re-marking them as found on the GC. Fun, no? In the future, I believe it is possible to take a "drive copy" of the GC itself. After factory resetting it, you *should* be able to load your save point back on it. That would save some time. I have an etrex 20 now and I have to admit, I rarely ever has previous finds on it. I use my phone for looking that up now. Good luck! Shaun Quote Link to comment
+popokiiti
I delete all caches, found and unfound, after each caching trip. Never had to do a factory reset, and if I did lose the stats and awards there, it wouldn't be an issue. I bought the GC quite a way into my caching experience - we just used to use one GPS and.........horrors! Printed log sheets - glad those days are gone Quote Link to comment
