+Ghost-train 0 Posted November 17, 2012 I am using 'easygps' on my laptop to transfer gpx files to my Oregon 300. I now have a Vigo tablet and would like to know the best app to use on it to do the same on the tablet. Easygps app site has several choices but none obviously for geocaching files.Running Android 4. the3gmen 0 Posted November 17, 2012 Do you want to use the tablet as a gps device or just to view the cache data? I use GDAK on my Android tablet which allows me to transfer my GSAK databases so that I can view them when I am offline. I don't have much experience with the other Android apps but I would bet that they all have an option to import any .gpx file that you have. Quote Share this post Link to post
+Ghost-train 0 Posted November 18, 2012 Thanks for that. I only want to use the tablet to view cache data. Unfortuneately I deleted my gsak database in favour of the easier 'easygps' system. Still learning the android system also.Interested in anymore suggestions. Quote Share this post Link to post
the3gmen 0 Posted November 18, 2012 A quick search lead me to this GDAK page which says that there is a program that allows you to convert your GPX files to something that GDAK can use. http://www.papktop.com/geocaching-droid-army-knife-1-35.html Quote Share this post Link to post

+SKAMS 0 Posted November 19, 2012 There's also the windows program GAPP which can export cache databases for GDAK. (The GAPP and the GDAK authors write in the same netherlands forum). http://application.globalcaching.eu/ GAPP is free to use. It can import GPX from different sources and also has a live API access to import PQs & more online from geocaching.com. I use GAPP (windows) and GDAK (android) regularly. +Ghost-train 0 Posted November 20, 2012 Thanks skams I am going to try gdak since it is similar to gsak, I'm familiar with that. Quote Share this post Link to post
the3gmen 0 Posted November 20, 2012 Actually, GDAK uses the GSAK data. As far as I've seen, it doesn't really look like GSAK. Quote Share this post Link to post
