+stedmanrecon
So, I am starting to look to buy a GPS device to go geocaching.. FIgured I would start this thread and kind of keep it running with particular questions that I have till I hopefully figure out what I want and go get it. I have to admit, the other threads that I have come across so far, and the GPS device section in the Groundspeak store really wasn't too much help for me to find the unit that I would want and could use at my level and for going forward. So, first question... So, assume that I am in Cabela's or some other outfitter store and in the section of GPSs. Should I be taking a look at just hiking GPSs, or should I be looking for GPSs that have some sort of feature on the box that boasts about its geocaching ability? Quote Link to comment
+eusty
Most GPS units seem to have paperless geocaching capabilities, apart from marine specific units. One which mentions paperless caching is a positive....it will make your life a lot easier! Quote Link to comment
+Heli Leo
For Garmin products go here, https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145 and check the boxes for the options you want. I am sure that other manufactures have a similiar search function on their web sites. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
