GregsonVaux Posted July 26, 2012 Share Posted July 26, 2012 A note about storing geocoins. Nearly all coins come in vinyl "flips" or pouches. The probelm is that vinyl corrodes metal. It is of the utmost importance to transfer your coins to mylar flips. A popular brand of mylar flips is "Saflip". The name is supposed to sound like "safe" because they will not destroy your coins. In the same way, make sure the album pages you buy are made of mylar and not vinyl. The mylar is annoying because it feels strangely stiff and it can crack, but the stronger vinyl album pages will harm your coins. Quote Link to comment
