+Momma & the Monkeys
OK - I've been using my iPhone for GPS, and have just gotten an eTrex 20 for my birthday, so that I can finally figure out some of those multistage or puzzle caches. The thing I miss is the big "idiot arrow" I had on the iPhone app. Now this review - eTrex 20 Review - of the eTrex 20 clearly shows the lovely "idiot arrow" on the geocaching screen "Murtle the Turtle", but I'll be darned if I can figure out which data field that is, or how to set it up. Can someone help me figure out the right settings, as that's exactly how I like to see the screen. Thanks all! eTrex 20 Review Quote Link to comment
+eusty
Read a bit further down about Dashboards...you just need to select one of them I haven't an etrex but most Garmins are similar.... Quote Link to comment

Thank you all so much - I was very disappointed/frustrated with my purchase as I thought that functionality was lost. Quote Link to comment
Wintertime
For what it's worth, I found the compass on the geocaching dashboard so small as to be virtually useless, so I removed it and now use the main compass screen when I want to zero in on a cache. Quote Link to comment
