I'm not suggesting that GS do this but there is something they could do in between a simple link to a youtube URL and hosting videos themselves. Although we can include "some" HTML in long descriptions we can't use an embed tag. If there was a way to allow an embed from an "approved" site, videos could be embedded and viewed directly on a cache page. Don't take that as an endorsement for embedding videos on caches pages.
