I have followed the instructions, Rebooted my PC, removed and reattached my Garmin Oregon but I am having no luck uploading. It is reporting back 0 field notes uploaded. +The A-Team Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 If you open up the geocache_visits.txt file in a text editor, do you see any of the recent field notes you're expecting? The format of each line is (GC Code)(Date)(Time in UTC)(Log type)(Comments). Also, do you see any strange characters? If so, it's possible the file has gotten corrupt. You can delete the file, and the GPS will automatically re-create it the next time you log a cache. Quote Link to comment

A GPX file on the GPS unit contains altered GC codes for the caches it holds. People often use GSAK to change the GC code of the caches uploaded to the GPS to something more informative/descriptive, but that is the identifier the site uses to know which cache was logged in the field notes. Is there any chance that either of these apply in your case? If not, could you email me your field notes file so that I could have a look? Quote Link to comment

The last time that I tried to upload I unchecked the date, so that shouldn't have been an issue. Also I didn't change anything in GSAK, but I was also having PQ problems Friday night. Yes the first column shows the GC code number. I don't know what happened, but everything seems to be okay now. Thank you both for steering me in the right direction. I could download them 2 days ago but have been unable to download them for the last 2 days. I do not have Gsak. I just checked all the things mentioned above and all my GC codes are fine, my date stamp is fine and I have the caches in my visiting log txt section.
