commercial cache has one or more of the following characteristics:

1. It requires the finder to go inside a business, interact with employees and/or purchase a product or service.

 

If a cache goes into a business get the cache and does not interact with anyone or pay to go in that is ok?

I want to put a cache in a business but was told that it can not go into a business at all.

feel like its fine for them not for me so need to vent..

There are some exceptions like geocaches at local tourism offices. But yeah, I've seen many in businesses and most are not placed there with the reviewers knowledge. Many are moved or the cache description re-worded after the fact.

Also the guidelines have become more stringent over time. You may encounter older caches that would not have been published today but were acceptable at the time they were published. These caches have been grandfathered and allowed to stay active.

Sounds like cache I placed here, but was given crap about. I placed one very near a trail, and was read the book by a reviewer that has no clue about the area, so I archived it. Only to find three approved 1000 feet down the same trial a few days later by the same reviewer, and my replaced cache (same coords) still not approved a week+ later.
