Log a Trackable without the code?

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if anyone could help me?

 

I have moved a GeoCoin but have not taken down the code.

 

I can access the trackable's web page but am unable to log the move to a new cache as it is not in my inventry and I have already moved it to a new one!

Write the coin's owner and explain what happened and ask them for the tracking number.

Future reference: Do keep a written note of the number. At least until you have all logging done.

 

Use to be you needed the number each and every time you logged it (aside from a note). Now, with the drop-down log windows, few people think or bother with making a note of the number. Comes in handy during those "what if" situations.

 

ex: logging into cache other than one it was placed in -- happens quite a bit. No numbery, no fixy.
