MrOneEyedBoh
For some reason the time I set will not stick. Or it will not be the correct time. For instance now its 1130est. If I go to the time and set it to EST, the time says 830...wtf? Anyone know what issue Im having, Quote Link to comment
MrOneEyedBoh
Also Im having an issue with the compass not being correct. Its jumping all over the place and the " Heading " under the dashboard is going all over the place too. How does the unit have to be oriented when being used? Up and down, flat? Quote Link to comment
+ShaunEM
I can't speak on your first issue. If you applied an update you may need to re-update your time. Check daylight savings if you need it. For your second point. my gc really only knows your direction when moving. When you sit still it starts to "spin". Walk slowly forward and you will find its compass figures it out. It can also help to set your map to north up.. so it isn't spinning as well. Shaun Quote Link to comment

They require you to be moving so they can calculate based on satellites and ur movement. Magnetic compasses don't need that. I have the same problem with my EVO fone I currently use for caching Quote Link to comment

+cyrnus
From the sounds of it with the time, I think it is adjusting the time as if you were visiting a new time zone and wanted to see the local time. Try setting the time zone and then setting the time. Quote Link to comment
