+cosninocanines
My Oregon 450t runs through batteries like crazy, when I'm in the field it drives me crazy to carry all the extra batteries. What can I do to get the best service out of the batteries. What settings on my garmin oregon will help maximize battery life? Is there any way I can turn off or eliminate some of the "applications"? +BAMBOOZLE
Don't forget the TYPE of battery matters also. We get a full day of caching out of Sanyo Eneloop 2500 NIMH batteries.....screen max bright, backlight= 1 min. Quote Link to comment
+eusty
Although the battery life on my 450 isn't as good as the Colorado it's still pretty good...nothing to complain about One thing is the backlight setting is remembered over power cycles, so if you were out say night caching remember to reduce the backlight during the day...otherwise this has an effect.
