USB weather cover for Dakota 10

Hi there

 

The weatherproof cover for the usb port on my Dakota 10 has broken, but I haven't been able to find a replacement part. Has anyone been successful in replacing this?

 

Failing that does anyone have a broken dakota that I can canabalise for the part please?

If you call Garmin customer service...and "talk nice", odds are they will send you one free. I say call because

calling usually has better results than e-mailing. In my experience, Garmin's customer service is beyond compare.

I called them this afternoon and wouldnt you know it, they warranteed it. Great service. I just sold it to my friend so he will be happy that he gets a new flap for it. Glad I read this thread. Thanks guys.
