We, xREKOX from Finland, will come to Madrid next February. We are very interested in caching all over the area. We looked after possibility to rent bikes for a couple of days. Please, can you help us. Do you know some good place to rent a bike and do you know is it possible to take a bike to the localtrain?

Bike transportation rules in MADRID province:

 

- Only one bike per passenger

 

- There is not an extra fee, the price is the same.

 

- If there are many people in the train and you are not able to get into the train, you can ask the money paid devolution.

 

- Bikes must be transported in the spaces dedicated to it (not in the seats area, nor in the corridors)

 

- The transport and the security of the bike is your responsability.

 

- If there is a group bigger than 10 bikers, you need and authorization asked in a date before

Big thanks for this, it helps us very much with the local train problem . The good place for renting a bike in Madrid is still open.

Maybe you can have trouble getting on the train with bikes during rush hours, mainly between 7:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. in the morning and 17:30 - 19:30 in the evening.

Gracias . This is very enough. One of those bike renting places is near by our hotel. It's hard to wait February and our holiday in Spain. Planning and planning and few solved mysteries...Thanks everybody, geocaching is a great hobby :D .
