Garmin Astro 220 with google maps?

I travel a lot in asia, and was very sad when I discovered that garmin does not sell topo maps over Hong Kong or China.

Using google maps on phone has been the solution until now.. But I saw an article at web with a how-to-get-google-maps-on-your-astro tutorial. But now I cant find that tutorial again.

 

Is there anyone who have a topo map for hong kong and china that I can use on my garmin astro 220 ? or know how I can convert google maps to usable maps in my gps ?

 

Please help if you have any ideas or know where I can get those maps. I even tried pirate bay, but those maps was only viruses and not for real.. sigh.

Im leaving for hong kong in less then a week, so Im in a little hurry to get this done before I go

I don't know about the Google Maps, but have you tried these: http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/

Not topographical, but routable.
