"Newest Caches" listing ...

Jeremy, is there any chance of having the "Newest Caches" listing on the homepage lenghtened? It seems that 15 just isn't enough, especially on weekends. New caches don't stay on the list for very long. Perhaps if the list were dynamic, or showed an entire day's worth, or the last 8 hours ... or something like that. TIA. icon_smile.gif

that it might be nice to have a linked page to a table that showed (left to right)

Date placed

Cache Name

Hider

Country

State (if applicable)

Latitude

Longitude

D/T

and to show that for the caches placed in the last 72 hours (similar to logs in the last three days) - and of course, it would be hyperlinked to bring you up to the individual caches.

Why 3 days? If you're away from the internet for a 3 day weekend, you'd probably still catch the new ones.

Of course, you can do this with caches listed by state (the newest ones come up on top) but that is sorted by the date the cacher indicates that it is hidden, not by the "add date" in the system (the date that the cache was initially logged).

This really became a problem back on Columbus Day weekend in October. There were over 250 new caches approved that weekend.

Yes, something like that would be very convenient. Perhaps a simple link on the homepage just like the "Read the latest cache logs.", and it can dispay at least the current day's worth. But, I'd still be happy if the list was 30 items long instead of 15. icon_smile.gif
