+Renegade Knight
When I changed my pocket query from loc files with a Mobi Pocket book to GPX all of the sudden I got 1/4 of the waypoints I should have. Since then I've been trying to troublshoot it and have not succeded. It would be nice to have a simple cross check. Something like "This query would generate 27 waypoints" It's rough and crude but it would help me figure out how to get my query back to doing what I'm after. We the same ability in on the hide and seek page. Oh well, now to tweak it again, get my download and see where it's at. Maybe I should just go back to Loc files and mobi, at least that version wasn't broke. Wherever you go there you are. Link to comment
+Markwell
You're files may in fact be there. Check to make sure that you have the most current version of EasyGPS. If you really want to see how everything should work - try Clayjar's Watcher. Markwell Chicago Geocaching Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Isn't Watcher Palm only? I'll look into the Easy GPS thing. For some reason it escaped me that my file was about the right size but and so it was possible that EasyGPS isn't showing me them all. Unfortunatly I have to go home first. dadgum work getting in the way of all the fun. Wherever you go there you are. Link to comment
Dinoprophet
I've had problems even with the newest EasyGPS not showing all of the caches in the file, whether or not the GPX is sent in a zip file, and even with GPX files with just one or two caches. I haven't had a problem yet with Watcher. Watcher rules. And it isn't Palm only; I'm palmless. And so you don't have to scour the forums looking for the link like I did, here's ClayJar's page. I'd recommend deleting (or at least renaming) your old EasyGPS before you "upgrade", and maybe even throw a precautionary reboot if you're really cautious (shouldn't need that). (As far as the next Watcher updates, by the way, I should be able to start on them at full-speed come next week. This weekend, OTOH, I'll be out camping with cachers... if you're within 15,000 miles of Louisiana, feel free to join us. ) [Watcher Downloads] - [Official Geocaching Chat] Link to comment

Watcher is NOT Palm-only... in fact, at the moment it is PC-only, until ClayJar adds on an interface. I don't own a PDA, but I use Watcher exclusively now for planning my cache hunts at my desktop PC. I'm considering buying a laptop PC for my car, to run mappng software and Watcher. Your GPX file should open up fine in Watcher, and show ALL the caches. Another way to verify whether all the caches are really "there" in the GPX file is to open it in Notepad and scroll through, looking for caches which aren't displaying in EasyGPS. Good luck to you in making good use of GPX files. I'm a non-techie, and I love 'em! If you have questions, stop by ClayJar's geocaching chatroom. There are usually at least one or two GPX/Watcher users in there, and they'll be glad to help. Even ClayJar. EDIT: See what I mean?
